* Can you buy new fire insurance to cover house that has already burned down?
* Can you buy new life insurance to cover somebody after they already died?
* Can you buy new auto insurance to cover a car that has already been in an accident?

The problem is the insurance companies find ways to drop people after they get sick so people end up having preexisting conditions and nobody wants to insure them.

If insurance companies managed the intake funds as a deposit and withdrawal institution then you might have a leg to stand on with your comments but sense they used my money to make billions of dollars and buy there politicians, I earned the right to be covered whether I have a pre existing condition or not.

Single payer basic health insurance could not be dropped by the insurer or the insured and is financially most feasible.

Medicare’s our nation’s and golden standard. No other entity delivers superior medical insurance services, or does it at less total expense. Total Medicare insurance expenses include all net government and USA taxpayers' net expenses.

I would not be opposed to a government subsidy paid directly to insurers for their per capita primary insurance coverage they provide to legal USA residents. The insurer must be recognized as a qualified insurer and the contracts must meet minimal federal standards.

Private Insurers would offer the minimal mandated coverage and additional insurance coverage at additional cost. Insurers have the option of transferring between their chosen primary insurers. Direct federal insurance that offers little more than the federally mandated minimal coverage at minimal co-payments would be among the available choices.

I advocate net federal expenses for Medicare and Medicaid be funded by a federal general consumption tax. [I’m also a proponent of (to the greatest extent politically and economically feasible extent), shifting our major revenue sources from income taxes to what’s been generally described as the “Fair Tax”].

Regardless of what national policy we adopt, Medicaid’s entire expenses for Medicare coverage (including co-payments) will still be necessary for our lower income legal residents.

Respectfully, Supposn
